A Weekend in Margaret River

35 items of clothing, 8 pairs of shoes, 3 bags

A couple weekends ago I travelled to the South West of Australia for three nights. The South West is one of my favourite places in the world. I like to visit the are a few times a year.

The Margaret River region is around three hours drive south of Perth. Typically I go there to enjoy the natural beauty of the place. That being said, there are plenty of other activities to take part in, most of them involving eating and drinking. The area is popular for it’s wine, but other types of produce are available, including meat, cheese and olives.

Natural attractions include walking trails (including the Cape to Cape and Bibbulmun tracks), the beach, caves, rock formations and Karri forests.

Here is a video I made featuring some of my favourite places in Margaret River.

Enjoy!

  1. The pictures and video look absolutely serene! I can see why you go there a few times per year. I’ve been to a few different places around the northeast US (where I live) but nothing quite as remote and blissful as the Margaret River area.
Do you go for the “getaway from civilization” factor, or is there something specific that regularly go for (aside from experiencing nature’s beauty)?
