30 items of clothing, 8 pairs of shoes, 2 bags
I have set some specific goals for how I would like to change my life over the next couple of years. This has led me to become interested in the law of attraction. In a nutshell, the law of attraction suggests that what you think materialises in your life. The concept has gained a lot of traction since The Secret came out in 2006.
While I’m not sure I completely buy into the magical aspects of the law of attraction, I definitely agree that our mindsets affect outcomes.
I feel like a lot of my past decisions can from a place of ‘lack’. I know that mindset has been somewhat limiting in my life, so I am experimenting with consciously cultivating a sense of abundance. I want to feel like everything is possible.
Enter the vision board.
A vision board is a physical illustration of your goals. It is a collection of images and quotes designed to focus your energy and help you work towards it.
Yes, I have made a vision board. I have collected images and quotes which represent where I want to be in a couple years time. I have edited these together into a digital image, which I am using as the background on my laptop. I have chosen digital format over paper as I want this image on my devices, where I am most likely to get distracted and procrastinate. The purpose of doing this is to draw my attention back to my goals, to focus my energy on those!
Below is a video in which I discuss all this in far more detail!
This week I have also posted my vision board and vision board making tips on my Patreon account, for those patrons at the ‘resources’ tier.
