What’s in My Bag | Minimalist Edition

What a crazy week! My recycled and upcycled minimalist shop has just gone live, and to celebrate, I’m posting lots of content over the coming days. In addition to preparing a bunch of videos, I have a giveaway coming up very soon. Stay tuned this week, there is lots of Small Wardrobe action to come!

Recently I purchased the Distant Lover bucket bag by Status Anxiety.

I have been quite happy with my two clutch style purses for a while, but for a long time I wanted something I could use as a cross body. I am doing some international travel later in the year, and I decided that it was time to commit.

As with every purchase I make, I really thought long about what I wanted. Versatility is very important for me. I needed a bag that would match all of my clothing, and be suitable for a number of occasions.

There were three specific factors I was after.

  • Simplicity with few embellishments
  • Small size
  • Silver findings.

For a while I considered getting a boxy style bag, but I am glad I didn’t. My style has become more and more relaxed, and I know that a rounded bucket bag suits my wardrobe best.

The video below goes into the details of why I got this bag and my feelings about it.

Wow! As if all that is not enough, I also made a ‘what’s in my bag’ video! I’ve had requests to make one of these for some time, and I finally got around to it. You can watch that video below.
