When I first started my blog, I wrote a series of blog posts within the title of ‘Three Ways’. I thought it would be a good idea to revive this series and write it within the context of my new wardrobe.
The goal of this series is to demonstrate that a minimalist wardrobe can be very versatile. Today I start by showing you three ways in which I style my Lacausa Santi Jumpsuit.
When I first started my blog, my wardrobe was made up of tops and bottoms that were white, grey and black. With time, I have moved towards pieces which cover more of my body, such as tunics, dresses and jumpsuits. I find these sorts of pieces easier to work with, as I think they are more versatile.
This is the Lacausa Santi jumpsuit. I actually own it in three colours. For the purpose of the video below, I am going to demonstrate how I wear the black one, as it is probably the most versatile. My next video is a detailed review of the Lacausa Santi jumpsuit, in case you are interested in buying it.
As this item was one the more expensive ones I have purchased, I had to justify this purchase by analysing its potential for versatility. Here are three ways I wear my jumpsuit.
- Casual wear. Australia is pretty warm for a large part of the year, and this jumpsuit is light and breathable. On its own it is an amazing item of clothing. It is easy to wear, comfortable, and works with different shoes and accessories. The simple, loose cut makes it appropriate for layering.
- Work wear. The jumpsuit on its own is a little too casual for work, so I have been layering on top of it. Paired with a top, it reads as a wide leg pant.
- Formalwear. The jumpsuit is made from a viscose/rayon blend, and has a sheen to it. As it is long and flowy, it makes an excellent replacement for a formal dress. Here I have worn it with my party heels and my trench for an evening look.
I will be making another Q&A video in May. If you haven’t yet given me a question for it, please do! It can be related to the topics I have mentioned here, or anything else at all to do with anything I have written or made videos about.
Finally, I have something exciting to announce. If you’ve ever wanted to meet me in person, you can! I will be taking part in the Common Threads – Woven through Community event in Western Australia, over May and June. The event is about ‘Integrating sustainability, creativity, and traditional hand-crafted wisdom of the ages’. I will be doing some presentations on my take on sustainability, from a minimalist point of view. Check out the event website for more details!
